The Frontier of Civilization: Grow human beings to survive its own monster, our society.

I have been studying technology for many years, seeing how pervasive it is becoming and how the barrier between the virtual and the real is falling apart. What is left to discover, what is left to know, to buy, to sell, why?
I had interesting conversations with companies like Protocol Labs, IOHK and Brave, they are right now in the specific groove of the decentralized world. But what exactly decentralized means? Along the the line of time we have always observed the fall of different Totems, religions, ideologies and now? Now the last totem is shaking, MONEY. Cryptocurrencies are putting MONEY and the power which cascades with it, at stake. Indeed, decentralization means self-governance, absence or limit of institutions to arbitrate/manage transactions and business. Doesn’t this seem like Fortnite I ask to myself? Also, Proof-of-Work, Proof-of-Stake, Proof-of-Prestige are always subjective to resource accumulation, one way or another. Hence, realistic decentralization can be tricky. The ultimate question is, collusion is functional to our way of organizing society? If everything would be managed by a software there won’t be need to arbitrate litigations? After all every decision is subjective even the one taken by a computer, because pre-conditions determine the outcome of an algorithm and true randomness is just a dream. So with this confusion in mind how do we will grow our children? The mankind of tomorrow, and what about our grand or grand-grand, do we see any future for them? Mental health has become the real problem of these times, stability, equilibrium vs. a ruthless jungle where you need to fight to death (it could be also a mental death) to survive, and hold the Totem. Get on top of the pyramid, and hopelessly fall. Sustainability is the most important emerging concept, sustainability means giving up many things for mankind’s survival. My provocation is that even if we have self-consciousness and capability to understand that other species can disappear we are failing miserably to save our own species. Indeed other species may disappear for external (environmental) factors, for example like meteorites for dinosaurs, but also the lack of predators can make prays destroy themselves. But how do we recognise that we are the only ones responsible for our own failure? And how do we fix it? Decentralization? Cooperation? I don’t have an answer but I strongly feel we have to shift our focus along mankind wellbeing, that includes our environment. Like you do exercise to relax your mind. So what would you do? I would not say anymore: Get rich or dye tryin’ — I’d just say you can’t buy the most precious things with money, but careful because when you won’t event be able to find them, you’ll fall into the abysm.
